back online after a while of being hiatus

happy new year to one & all..

how did i spend my last days of 2008? spent it in Cameron Highlands then KL with his family..yup with his family. his mum invited me for the trip & seeing tt i have never gone on a holiday for a while i said yes..

it was a road trip with 2 cars - 1st car - kakak (his eldest sis), A.J (short fr abang jamil - his bro-in law), mum & pyan (his youngest bro & baby of e family) 2nd car - shasha (his youngest sis), wan (shasha's bf), boo boo & me..

am gonna blog abt cameron highlands 1st..so we left the house at gombak at 4.30am and began the long drive to cameron...boo boo took 1st shift, so i had to make sure i stayed awake for him..in our car - all 4 youngsters didn't get any sleep at all cos we were afraid if we did sleep we may not even make it to meet at 4am.

anyways it was a long dark drive, no lights on e expressway at all..just reflectors..we kept close to the 1st car cos they were leading duh & we didn't want to get lost. we had walkies so we cld contact each other & i think to also keep each other awake...we drove for about 4 hours before we changed shift & it was wan's turn to drive...we made 2 pitstps before the change & it was so sad tt A & W wasn't open yet..made us all crave it..we had lunch during one of the stops..felt tt the stall overcharged on the meal but hey who are we to argue, we're strangers in their land..took lots of beginning trip pics..

e scenery before reaching was simply awesome...so much greenery..we got really excited..but e excitement died after a while cos it was a long way till we get there...finally we saw the board tt said cameron highlands..got excited again..it was long meandering drive up to e highlands & the sudden rain was not helping..me & boo boo fell asleep soundly while wan tried to stay awake...anyways we all woke up when we heard the walkie..turned out wan saw us all asleep, he closed his eyes for a lil while..very very lil while but recovered of course..so we all stayed awake for him...

passed by 3 towns & kept a lookout fr the sign to Strawberry Park Resort..we saw the sign since we were at the 1st town but the resort was stil much much farther up..we got so frustrated cos it's like we never seem to get there...

finally we reach the resort...views were all gorgeous & it was just so cold..no ac unit in the suite but still it was so cold!..we had to keep our jackets on..we all snoozed after tt long drive..we headed out to dinner where mum paid fr e seafood feast..food was a lot but with 8 starving ppl, it definitely finished..but the price - a bit too ex for msia...

anyways it was me & boo boo's 14th mth on Jan 1st & we were spending it overseas fr e 1st time... we cld hear e countdown happening at e restaurant at e resort..it was simply magical & romantic cos we sneaked out just before midnight to celebrate..
